[Hi Guys, I am not done with the aliens articles, but this is only a break with it. I will come with a next article of Alien very soon. Till then enjoy my new article. Thanks :D]
“Egypt”, actually everyone knows about it, which is situated on the African continent. The Egypt is also known as a country of “The Gift of the Nile”. This country is popular for its pyramids and the mysterious. The mystery which is yet to be discovers and solve. Today in this article I am going to tell you about the unknown truth about the known person. Hope you enjoy it, like my other articles.
Approximately, 3500 years ago one of the most powerful, diplomatic women with a strong political attitude was born in Egypt. She came to be known in the world by the name “Nefertiti”. She was very pretty and due to her knowledge and talent, she was easily recognized in the crowd.
Nefertiti’s childhood started in a place called Malqata. During this period Malqata was ruled by Aman III. In the presence of child marriage Nefertiti was married to the youngest son of the (King) Pharaoh Aman III with the help of Pharaoh’s wife Tai. So, Nefertiti was only 6 – 7 years old when she got married. Suddenly, after the death of Thothmosis, the elder son of Tai, the youngest son of the king Akhenaton (Akhenaton means “he who is devoted to Aton God; original name of Akhenaton was Amenhotep IV”) and his wife Nefertiti were place in the throne of Egypt. During this period the people of Egypt worshipped Amun God. The state was all in the hand of the priest in the temples and the king was a puppet in the hand of these priests. Also the people were headed with the superstitions. Deep inside of the Karnak temple the Amun God is placed and only the priest can visit there. The priests are only direct person who answerable to God, So, if anything bad happens to kingdom then it will be directly said that the God is not happy and he is punishing all. So, the word of the priest became the word of the God. Basically, the order of kings is coming through the Priests. So, the whole kingdom is ruled by the Priest directly or indirectly. If we dig down the history then we’ll find that the almost every kingdom on earth are directly influenced by the religions.
On the other hand, Nefertiti and her husband began to think that these priests’ power were growing day by day and if this flow of power was not controlled than the priests would become Pharaoh (“Per-o” means “Great House”; Pharaoh name originally used by the ancient Egyptians for the palace of their King). To solve this problem she started with her husband a new religion, Called Aton (the solar disk; its Life giving rays or a Sun God) which means “Sun God”. Nefertiti and her husband themselves became the priests of that new religion. However, the believers of the Amun God were more in numbers. They might cause the downfall of the newly established religion, which is Aton god. Nefertiti knew that the only chance they have this new religion. If the King and Queen themselves become priest than they will be directly in answerable to God and they don’t have to give any explanation to any other person. Actually, it’s a very good idea to keep the old Priest away with the kingdom’s affairs.
It was not easy to dominate the old religion, the temple of Amun God is in everywhere in the Thebes City, the capital of the kingdom. So, the Nefertiti and her husband made new courts to spread the new religion and started to increase their followers. Still the result was not good. To start new religion they had to move from the Thebes city. It was necessary, for the religion and for the kingdom too. King and Queen both have now fully devoted themselves to their new God Aton & began to search for a new capital for the sake of praying the Aton God. After a long Search they finally found the new City, 320 KM away from the Thebes City. The new City was named as Amarna and it became the new capital of Egypt. This city was surrounded by rocks from three sides and a beautiful flow of water from one side, making the geographical condition admirable, which was much liked by Akhenaton and Nefertiti. Amarna city was really very beautiful and it was said that the Sun was taken rebirth through those rock mountains twice in the year. More than the 50,000 people were following the King and Queen to the new Capital. It was a new capital and new city so, the work will be there and everyone was happy for getting a new job.
Now, everything is moving smoothly, while at least looks seems to be. Nefertiti started taking interest in the kingdom activities. She also helped king to take major decisions. She started ruling the kingdom in the king’s absence. This was the most awesome thing of that period, that the Queen and the kings sitting in the same throne at the same time. The European traders were surprised when they saw both the King and the Queen attends the meetings. So, Nefertiti was regarded as the most powerful woman. She also used to challenge the King for the Chariot race. Scholars say that she was a very beautiful woman. She is also regarded as the Mona Lisa of the ancient world. So, we are talking about the woman who was Beauty with the Brain and also brave.
But, things are not so simple for Nefertiti. She was a strong woman, but she had faced many troubles in her life. There was a riot started by the old religious priests when the order passed by Nefertiti to destroy the old Kyarnac temples in the Thebes city. Not only the problems of the kingdom were troubling Nefertifi, but she also has some issues in her personal life too. She had six daughters but no son. During that period only a son could succeed the king. Though the King loved his first wife Nefertiti, Akhenaton married another woman, whose name was Kiya. She gave birth of new hope in the Kingdom, who was known as Tutankhamen. Kiya gave birth a son to the king but still the king was in deep love with Nefertiti. Sudden death of the second wife Kiya puts the historians to think that it may be the design of the king.
Problems and the troubles are following Nefertiti like a shadow, it's not ending. Now the kingdom suffered from the Plague. This plague took away her husband and daughter. The loss of the life of her dear ones took her in frustration, but she however ruled the kingdom. After this, there was a new king came who was Known as Smenkhkare or Smen. It is said by the historians that Nefertiti she ruled kingdom as a new emperor and renamed herself as Smenkhkare, is somewhat mysterious. Egyptologists do not even agree whether he (Smen) was a man or a woman – although the position that he was a man is traditional, and more common. The difficulty is Smenkhkare share some names with Nefertiti, and it is possible that Nefertiti was Smenkhkare, as it is not unheard of Ancient Egypt for women to become Pharaohs. After having such a great life, Nefertiti disappears, some scholars says that she died from the plague and other says she had natural death. But, no one knows the reality.
In Egypt, there is a mysterious place known as “The Kings’ Valley”, Where are lying the hundred mummies of various famous persons. They're the historians found a mummy in one tomb. This mummy originally discovered in 1898 by French Egyptologist Victor Loret. The tomb was named as KV 35 where this lady mummy was lying. No one knows whose mummy is this. They don’t have any clues about it. So the historians gave the name of that mummy, it was “The Lady - X”.
During research, various wounds were found on the body of that mummy; bones of the mouth were broken, it was believed that in ancient period, that by breaking the bones of the mouth the souls of the person would not go out of their bodies and will not reach the heaven. The British researchers gained the permission of Egyptian authorities to examine the mummy for the first time In June 2002, Fletcher and her team entered the secret chamber. Fletcher said, "When the wall was taken down, and we shined our flashlights in, the first thing I saw was the older woman staring back at me. That took a bit of getting used to." The team also returned for a second visit in February 2003. Methods used during the examination were all non destructive techniques and included digital x-rays. Clues that led Fletcher to the conclusion that the mummy “The Lady – X” was proved to be the mummy of Nefertiti.
Was Nefertiti murdered or she died naturally? What was the thing which was not letting her soul reach heaven? The soul of Nefertiti, did she reached heaven or like the ancients says is still in the body? All these questions arise to the readers who have read or have knowledge about Nefertiti. Nefertiti was a very beautiful woman she did so many things that a man also not able to think of. She is a true legend. If we want to know more about Nefertiti or the Lady-X, We have to open the door of KV 35, and these answers can be given only by one person, that is, “Nefertiti, the Lady-X” herself!
Keep thinking…. Madvision.
